Low Blood Pressure is a common problem and many people have major
problems with it but it's something of a "Cinderella topic" when compared to
other heart health issues.

It's not easy to find high quality advice about hypotension - the proper medical
name for the condition. The topic is often overlooked in newspaper or magazine
features and coverage on the internet is relatively sparse.

Hypotension affects thousands of us on a daily basis and the symptoms can
really be quite disabling. From dizziness to fainting or palpitations and lots more
in between - low blood pressure creates misery worldwide.

Blood pressure specialist, Gordon Cameron, has provided online patient
education resources for many years and edits both a site devoted to
hypertension treatment and a busy
blood pressure discussion forum. He says:

"I regularly get email asking for help with low blood pressure problems.
People need assistance understanding the condition, look for ways to
diagnose it and - more than any of that - are desperate to find some
workable methods for low blood pressure treatment"

This site has been created in response to those requests.
Here's what you'll find if you browse the site:

function for more details.

The
definition of low blood pressure is sometimes a bit arbitrary. Lots of us have low readings on the BP
monitor and have no symptoms whatsoever. In fact, a BP reading on the low side of normal can be a sign of
excellent health. High level athletes often have low blood pressure readings as a natural outcome of the
training and fitness work that they do. This is simply a conditioning effect on the heart and the blood vessels
that allows them to work so efficiently they can function at a lower circulating pressure level.

Low blood pressure is not always a reason to be concerned - but it can sometimes be a marker for
underlying health related problems.

Anyways - all you need can be found on this site. Explore, enjoy and learn. Oh ... and be sure to check back
regularly because we update content frequently.

Stay well
